Jack´s Library is a cocktail bar inspired by the library of Jack, grandfather of Murray, and the world he represented.

Rooted in Edinburgh and shaped by a love for history, books, and time spent well, Jack’s Library feels deliberately removed from the present. Every detail has intention. The books, the objects, the rooms. Nothing is there by accident. Most of it belonging to Murray´s family and (crazy) grandfather!

Jack’s Library is hidden behind Bonsai Florist, a flower shop inspired by Elizabeth, Murray’s grandmother. Together, the two spaces reflect their relationship. Flowers at the front, a library behind. Light and warmth giving way to something quieter and more private.

Photography isn’t allowed. Jack’s Library is meant to be lived in, not documented. A place to be present, to disconnect, and to enjoy what’s happening in the room rather than on a screen.

The team guides the experience with discretion and ease. Attentive, calm, and present without intrusion. Hospitality here is subtle and unforced, allowing the space and its story to speak for themselves.

Jack’s Library is emblematic. A hidden speakeasy shaped by memory.
